Nord Stream pipes still stored in Germany — newspaper

Pipes are reportedly kept in a warehouse located in an industrial park in the Lubmin Community, where the landfall of the gas pipelines is situated

BERLIN, , April 23. /TASS/. About 1,000 pipes for Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines are stored in a warehouse in Germany and such quantity may be enough to repair damaged pipeline strings, the Ostsee Zeitung newspaper said.

Pipes are kept in a warehouse located in an industrial park in the Lubmin Community, where the landfall of the gas pipelines is situated. "These inventories have the high cost. Such quantity of pipes should be approximately enough for damaged sections," a source told the newspaper. Another source noted that the repair would be "relatively easy in the technical sense" if required materials are in place.

Sources of the news outlet estimate the total cost of 1,000 pipes at about 25 mln euro.
