US ready to take over Ukrainian nuclear plants to end conflict — energy secretary

Earlier, Washington said after US President Donald Trump’s phone call with Vladimir Zelensky that the United States could help Ukraine in the issue of operating its nuclear power plants

NEW YORK, March 20. /TASS/. US Energy Secretary Chris Wright said the United States is ready to take ownership of Ukraine’s nuclear plants if this helps ensure a ceasefire and end the conflict in Ukraine.

"No problem, we can do that," he said in an interview with Fox News when asked about the United States’ potential participation in running Ukrainian nuclear plants if that is helpful to bring peace to Ukraine.

Earlier, Washington said after US President Donald Trump’s phone call with Vladimir Zelensky that the United States could help Ukraine in the issue of operating its nuclear power plants.
