Trump, Zelensky discuss possibility of transferring Ukrainian nuclear power plants to US

Donald Trump said that "the United States could be very helpful in running those plants with its electricity and utility expertise"

WASHINGTON, March 19. /TASS/. The United States could help Ukraine in the issue of operating its nuclear power plants, according to a joint statement by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz following a telephone conversation between US President Donald Trump and Vladimir Zelensky.

"President Trump also discussed Ukraine’s electrical supply and nuclear power plants. He said that the United States could be very helpful in running those plants with its electricity and utility expertise. American ownership of those plants would be the best protection for that infrastructure and support for Ukrainian energy infrastructure," the document said.
