IAEA chief plans to visit Russia, Ukraine in coming weeks — Reuters

Rafael Grossi also expressed his concern about the "increased military activity" near the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant

GENEVA, January 22. /TASS/. Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi plans to pay visits to Russia and Ukraine within the next few weeks, the Reuters news agency reported.

The IAEA chief told reporters on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Daavos that his trip to Russia and Ukraine may take place "soon," namely "in the next few weeks."

Grossi also expressed his concern about the "increased military activity" near the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (ZNPP), Reuters said.

Alexey Likhachev, the director general of Russia’s state-run nuclear corporation Rosatom, said on January 4 that he planned to continue his meetings and consultations with the IAEA chief later this year.
