G7 countries accuse Russia of nuclear blackmail

The top G7 diplomats also called "Russia’s seizure and continued control and militarization of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant" unacceptable

MUNICH, February 18. /TASS/. The G7 countries pointed to the irresponsibility of nuclear rhetoric allegedly conducted by Russia, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said in a statement.

"They [the G7 foreign ministers] condemned Russia’s irresponsible nuclear rhetoric, its posture of strategic intimidation, its announcement that it has deployed nuclear weapons in Belarus, at an increasingly unstable and dangerous moment, vand its undermining of arms control regimes," the top Italian diplomat said as he chaired a meeting of G7 foreign ministers on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

The top G7 diplomats also called "Russia’s seizure and continued control and militarization of the Zaporizhzhia (Zaporozhye - TASS) Nuclear Power Plant" unacceptable and "reaffirmed their full support for the International Atomic Energy Agency’s efforts.".
