Magnitude 6.3 earthquake rocks Afghanistan

The source of the earthquake was 188 km below the surface

DUBAI, January 11. /TASS/. A 6.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded in northeastern Afghanistan, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported.

The epicenter of the disaster was 41 kilometers south of the village of Jurm with the population of about 12,000. The source of the earthquake was 188 km below the surface.

No injuries or damage were reported.
