DUBAI, January 10. /TASS/. At least eight people were injured in an explosion in the city of Herat in southwestern Afghanistan, the Hasht-e Subh newspaper reported, citing its sources.

According to the sources, the incident occurred at 2:52 p.m. local time (10:24 a.m. GMT). A hand grenade exploded near a car belonging to Taliban (a movement that is outlawed in Russia) activists.

Local authorities have yet to comment on the situation.
