UN has no information that pro-Ukrainian group could be behind Nord Stream blasts

UNITED NATIONS, March 7. /TASS/. The UN has no information that a pro-Ukrainian group could be behind the sabotage attacks on the Nord Stream undersea natural gas pipelines, Farhan Haq, a deputy spokesperson for the UN secretary-general, told TASS on Tuesday.

He was responding to a request to comment on a New York Times report on the subject.

"We have no information on this," Haq said.

The New York Times reported on Tuesday that new intelligence data suggested that a pro-Ukrainian group could have carried out the attacks on the Nord Stream pipelines. According to US officials cited by the report, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky or top government officials in Kiev were allegedly unaware of the group’s operation.
