UNITED NATIONS, August 17. /TASS/. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres arrived in Lvov on Wednesday where on August 18 he will meet with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the secretary general’s office told TASS.

"Yes, the secretary general is in Lvov," the source said. Later, the office of the secretary general posted a photo of Guterres visiting this Ukrainian city on Twitter.

As Spokesperson for the UN Secretary General Stephane Dujarric reported on Wednesday, the sides will discuss the shelling of a correctional facility in Yelenovka and the situation around the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. Over the past few days, Ukrainian forces have delivered several strikes on the NPP’s premises, using, among other things, drones, heavy artillery and multiple-launch rocket systems.

According to a TASS source at the UN, Guterres may also discuss food exports from the region. In Lvov, the secretary general will hold a separate meeting with Zelensky.

On August 19, Guterres will visit Odessa - one of the three ports within the framework of the Black Sea food exports agreement. On August 20, he will arrive in Istanbul where he will visit the Joint Coordination Center which deals with logistics and inspections of vessels exporting grain and other products.
