Hundreds of thousands mobilized to Ukrainian Army, Deputy Defense Minister says

Anna Malyar underscored that Ukraine has currently fulfilled its mobilization plan, and there is no mass conscription evasion

KIEV, June 14. /TASS/. The number of people, mobilized to the Ukrainian Armed Forces is measured in hundreds of thousands, Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said on Ukrainian TV Tuesday.

"We are talking large numbers, hundreds of thousands," Malyar said, without saying any specific numbers.

"There is a presidential decree on mobilization, there is a certain number, defined by the president, as to how many citizens must be mobilized," Malyar said.

She explained that this number depends on the number of requests from the Ukrainian military command for their planned military tasks.

She underscored that Ukraine has currently fulfilled its mobilization plan, and there is no mass conscription evasion.

"We cannot predict what will be tomorrow and day after tomorrow, because everything depends on the situation on the front," Malyar said, commenting on perspective of further mobilization to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. "As of today, we do not consider mobilization of women."

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation in Ukraine in response to the aid request from the Donbass republics. He underscored that Moscow does not plan to occupy Ukrainian territories, instead aiming to demilitarize and denazify the country.
