Russia’s Chuvash Region reports two anthrax cases

Regional Health Minister Vladimir Stepanov stressed that the patients' prognosis is positive

MOSCOW, March 15. /TASS/. Two people have been hospitalized with anthrax in Russia’s Chuvash Republic, regional Health Minister Vladimir Stepanov told TASS on Wednesday.

"As of March 15, two patients with a lab-confirmed diagnosis of anthrax have been hospitalized in the Chuvash Republic. They are receiving the necessary specific treatment. Their prognosis is positive," he pointed out.

Stepanov specified that both patients were in serious condition. According to him, they remain under daily medical monitoring, receiving preventive care.
