Russian troops kill almost 200 Ukrainian service people near Krasny Liman in LPR

MOSCOW, November 12. /TASS/. A Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter was downed by Russian fighter jets in the Zaporozhye Region, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on Saturday.

"Fighter jets of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Mi-8 of Ukraine’s Air Force above Yasnaya Polyana in the Zaporozhye Region," he said at a regular briefing.

Krasny Liman

Russian troops repelled Ukrainian attacks near Krasny Liman, killing almost 200 Ukrainian service people, Konashenkov reported.

"Throughout active actions, Russian troops thwarted attacks by four Ukrainian company task groups who attempted to advance toward Svatovo, Ploshchanka, Makeyevka and Chervonopopovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR)," he said, adding that more than 190 Ukrainian service people were killed, and a tank, six armored vehicles and five cars were destroyed as a result.

US-made radar systems

The Russian military destroyed two US-made AN/TPQ-50 and AN/TPQ-36 radar systems in the course of the special military operation, according to Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman.

One radar system was destroyed near Lozovaya in the Kharkov Region and the other near Zelyonaya Dolina in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), he specified at a briefing on Saturday. Konashenkov also said an ammo depo belonging to Ukraine’s 44th artillery brigade had been destroyed near Varvarovka in the Zaporozhye Region and a depot for weapons and military equipment near Peschanoye in the Kharkov Region.

According to Konashenkov, Russian forces hit four Ukrainian command posts in the Kherson, the Nikolayev and the Kharkov regions and attacked 58 artillery units, personnel and military equipment across 236 areas.
