Russian envoy points to Germany's post-traumatic disorder after failure to gain UNSC seat

Germany blamed Russia for the defeat, Vasily Nebenzya noted

MOSCOW, September 18. /TASS/. German diplomats at the UN have developed post-traumatic stress disorder after losing the election for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council, Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, said in an interview with the Vesti TV news program.

"I don't interact with them much because they have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following their loss regarding the Security Council - a loss for which they blamed Russia and me personally, claiming I was the one who prevented their election," Nebenzya said. "Although, of course, that wasn't really the case; in a sense, they brought that result upon themselves."

"I don't know how they feel now - not very well, I imagine," he noted.
