MOSCOW, September 18. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused the West of conducting a campaign to disrupt Russians’ voting in the elections.
"These include attempts to spread information aimed at disrupting the elections or to use electronic procedures not so that people can elect their representatives, but to somehow block the elections themselves and turn the process from an expression of the people’s will into some kind of manipulation. This is being very actively encouraged," the diplomat told TASS.
She assured that the Russian Foreign Ministry "is in constant contact with all its missions abroad on this issue, literally around the clock." "In some places abroad, the elections have already taken place. We are preparing for the day when the voting is due to be held," the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said.
