MOSCOW, March 19. /TASS/. Russian and US presidents, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, did not discuss the possibility of resuming direct flights between the two countries during their telephone conversation on Tuesday, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a briefing.
"No, this issue was not discussed yesterday," he said when asked a corresponding question.
Putin and Trump did not discuss the resumption of the work of Nord Stream either, Peskov said, adding though that the leaders noted the potential of various projects for economic cooperation between the two countries.
"No, this issue (resumption of the work of Nord Stream - TASS) was not discussed. However, the presidents noted quite literally the enormous potential for implementation of a whole number of large projects for bilateral economic cooperation," he said.
Putin and Trump held a phone call on March 18, discussing the idea of a 30-day ceasefire in the conflict in Ukraine, ways to prevent a further escalation of tensions and a number of international issues. The Russian leader supported the US president’s initiative for the parties to the conflict to abandon strikes on energy infrastructure.
