Social facilities, homes damaged by Ukrainian missile attack on Rylsk — acting governor

"The buildings of the House of Culture, physical fitness center, teachers’ training college, school, firefighting depot and private households were damaged," Alexander Khinshtein said

KURSK, December 20. /TASS/. Social and sports facilities and homes have been damaged as a result of a missile attack by the Ukrainian military on the town of Rylsk in the Kursk Region, 124 kilometers west of Kursk, the region’s acting governor Alexander Khinshtein has said on his Telegram channel.

"The Nazis deliberately choose civilian facilities and institutions of social infrastructure as targets of their strikes. The buildings of the House of Culture, physical fitness center, teachers’ training college, school, firefighting depot and private households were damaged," he wrote.

A spokeswoman for Aura Hotel has told TASS that windows and doors were smashed in the two-story hotel building: "The strike was in the area of the hotel. I have no information about casualties. All people were evacuated."

She noted that the building of the Rylsk teacher training college, located opposite the hotel, was badly damaged and several cars were seen burning on Dzerzhinsky Street, where both buildings are located.

CDEK, Wildberries and OZON outlets are close to the hotel.

"This is a crowded place. A densely populated neighborhood of Ladygino is nearby," the spokeswoman said.
