MOSCOW, December 17. /TASS/. The BRICS member states are actively putting forward ideas on how to settle the Ukrainian conflict, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov, who serves as Moscow’s BRICS sherpa, said in an interview with the TASS Analytical Center, summarizing the outcomes of Russia’s chairmanship of the association.
When asked whether the world community is ready to create conditions for peace and tranquility next year, including within the BRICS format, he said: "The world community is already doing this very actively." "All these countries that have recently put forward initiatives aimed at settling the Ukrainian crisis were connected to BRICS in one way or another. Either they are part of the alliance or, as we hope, they will become our partners as soon as possible," the senior diplomat said.
At the same time, Ryabkov pointed out that the influence of the global majority on events in the world goes beyond the Ukrainian conflict.
