MOSCOW, November 29. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army may be planning some localized attacks on Russian territory, using its defeatist rhetoric in the media as a cover to swoop in and hit Russia when it least expects it, so Moscow needs to be ready for anything, military expert Andrey Marochko told the Sputnik radio station.

Earlier, Ukrainian General Dmitry Marchenko said that the Ukrainian front collapsed under the onslaught of Russian forces due to a fatigued military contingent and a lack of reserves.

On October 29, Stanislav Kravchenko, the head of Ukraine’s Supreme Court, reported a significant surge in desertion from the Ukrainian army, describing the situation as alarming.

"Naturally, more and more defeatist statements are being made by Ukrainian forces, but that doesn't mean we should let our guard down. The enemy may be trying to lull us into a false sense of security by saying that their situation is bad, only to hit us by surprise. We need to stay on our toes. I believe that the Ukrainian command has managed to accumulate some forces which could be used to carry out localized strikes on the territory of Russia as well," the expert said.

Marochko also put the onus on Russian intelligence to prevent these kinds of potential strikes. Additionally, the military expert commented that according to his information, the morale of the Ukrainian army is extremely low, and they are in a bad mental state.
