MOSCOW, August 31. /TASS/. The West sees the risks stemming from direct confrontation with Russia, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said on Wednesday.

"I am absolutely sure that our reaction, very tough and very efficient, to all attempts to escalate the military situation on the battleground has an effect on Western planners and I think that they understand the risks of direct confrontation with Russia," he said in an interview with Russia’s TV Channel One.
