UN could create mechanisms to investigate Nord Stream explosions — diplomat

On February 17, Russia put forward a draft UN Security Council resolution about an inquiry into last year’s sabotage of its Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines

MOSCOW, February 19. /TASS/. The UN has the capacity to create mechanisms to investigate incidents like the Nord Stream sabotage, Russian Special Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said in an interview with Rossiya 1 TV channel.

"The UN has established numerous channels for conducting specific inquiries. As you are aware, processes are put in place when appropriate, whether in Syria or elsewhere," he was responding to statements regarding the UN's lack of specific committees to investigate the explosions at the Nord Stream gas pipelines.
