Ukraine losing up to 200 troops in Zaporozhye Region every day, politician says

The intensity of fighting dramatically increased on the Zaporozhye frontline in the past week

MELITOPOL, January 26. /TASS/. The Ukrainian Armed Forces began losing as many as 200 troops a day along the Zaporozhye frontline after the Russian army intensified its activities there, Chairman of the We Stand With Russia movement Vladimir Rogov told TASS on Thursday.

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces have been losing 80, 120, 150 and even 200 troops a day on the frontline in the Zaporozhye Region," he noted.

The intensity of fighting dramatically increased on the Zaporozhye frontline in the past week. The Russian Defense Ministry announced the liberation of the Lobkovoye settlement in the Zaporozhye Region on January 20. Rogov said later that Russian forces had advanced towards the city of Gulyaipole along the Pologi sector of the line of contact, taking control of several Ukrainian strongholds.
