Russian ministry says Kiev was developing equipment for delivery, use of bio weapons

Igor Kirillov pointed to a request from the Ukrainian company Motor Sich to the Turkish manufacturer of Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles, asking about the possibility to equip the UAV with systems and mechanisms for spraying aerosols

MOSCOW, March 31. /TASS/. Head of the Russian Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Forces Igor Kirillov on Thursday said the Kiev regime was developing equipment for delivery and employment of biological weapons.

"We are effectively talking about the development by the Kiev regime of equipment for the delivery and employment of biological weapons, with the possibility of their use against the Russian Federation," he said.

Kirillov pointed to a request from the Ukrainian company Motor Sich to the Turkish manufacturer of Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles dated December 15, 2021. "Here’s the essence of it: Would it be possible to equip the UAV with systems and mechanisms for spraying aerosols that have the capacity of more than 20 liters," Kirillov said. "Given that the UAV has the range of up to 300 km and is loaded with biological solutions, there’s a real threat that biological weapons could be used on the territory of the Russian Federation".
