Russia is among global leaders in energy sphere, Putin says

"From 32 units of nuclear power plants under construction in third countries by all companies of the world, 28 units are being built by Russian company Rosatom," the Russian leader said

MOSCOW, October 29. /TASS/. Russia is one of global leaders in the energy sector in general and in the nuclear industry in particular, President Vladimir Putin said at the Russia-Africa summit.

"Certainly, Russia is among the world leaders in the energy sphere in general and in the nuclear power industry in particular," the head of state said, noting very good competences of the country in this sphere.

"From 32 units of nuclear power plants under construction in third countries by all companies of the world, 28 units are being built by Russian company Rosatom," the Russian leader said.

The head of state also noted growing interest of Russian business in cooperation with African nations, Putin added.
