Shell increases LNG production by 12% in first nine months of 2026

Shell’s LNG sales rose by 6% in the first nine months of the year to 56.4 mln metric tons

MOSCOW, October 29. /TASS/. /TASS/. Shell increased its liquefied natural gas (LNG) production by 12% year-on-year to approximately 23 mln metric tons in the first nine months of 2026, according to the company’s report.

Shell produced 7.86 mln metric tons of LNG in the Q1, 7.73 mln metric tons in the Q2, and 7.43 mln metric tons in the Q3.

Shell’s LNG sales rose by 6% in the first nine months of the year to 56.4 mln metric tons. LNG sales totaled 19.16 mln metric tons in the Q1 of 2026, 17.96 mln metric tons in the Q2, and 19.25 mln metric tons in the Q3.

The company forecasts LNG production of 7.3-7.9 mln metric tons in the Q4.
