MOSCOW, October 28. /TASS/. Rosgeo has launched gold exploration operations in the Central African Republic (CAR), announced Alexey Desyatkin, General Director of Zarubezhgeologia and head of international operations at Rosgeo.
"To give a few examples, in the Central African Republic, we carried out predictive metallogenic mapping between 2021 and 2023, identifying promising zones based on the findings. We are now conducting gold exploration work there," he said.
Discussing Rosgeo’s track record and ongoing projects in Africa, Desyatkin noted that the company had completed satellite imagery analysis in Chad, recommending promising areas for further study. Since this summer, Rosgeo specialists have been conducting airborne geophysical surveys there. In the Libyan Desert, the company’s experts continue to search for groundwater.
Furthermore, Desyatkin mentioned that the company resumed geological exploration in Benin "just yesterday" and is currently carrying out airborne geophysical surveys.
He added that Rosgeo is also fully prepared to sign agreements to assess hydrocarbon potential and explore gold and precious metal deposits in Niger. According to Desyatkin, Rosgeo has hands-on experience operating in more than 15 African nations.
Rosgeo is a Russian diversified geological holding company providing a full range of services related to geological exploration. One hundred percent of Rosgeo’s shares are state-owned. Zarubezhgeologia is an operator of Rosgeo projects abroad.
