BERLIN, October 7. /TASS/. The European Union is seriously concerned of reliability of the US statements not to ban diesel exports to Europe, Der Spiegel reports, citing a confidential protocol from a closed-door meeting of EU ambassadors.
"The potential US ban on diesel fuel exports gives rise to concerns," a spokesperson of the European Commission (EC) said. "A significant impact on prices" is the point to worry about, she noted. The EC noted that even awareness of economic damage to US companies themselves might not prevent Washington from taking such a step.
