Iran expects significant increase in tourist flow from Russia in 2026 — ambassador

Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali emphasized that Tehran will make efforts aimed at developing tourism ties between the two countries

MOSCOW, January 9. /TASS/. Tehran expects the number of Russian tourists visiting Iran to increase significantly in 2026, Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali said in an interview with TASS.

"We will certainly make efforts aimed at developing tourism ties between the two countries. Given the current level of cooperation in this area, we are striving and hoping that the number of tourists coming to Iran from Russia will increase significantly," he said.

The ambassador also stressed that Russia-Iran relations are comprehensive and are going through their best historical period, encompassing all key areas of cooperation between the two countries.
