MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. The volume of oil product trading on the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) increased by 7.3% year-on-year in January-March 2025, reaching 8.901 mln metric tons, according to data from the exchange.
Sales of AI-95 gasoline grew by 4.7% to 1.076 mln metric tons, while AI-92 gasoline sales declined by 1.1% to 1.571 mln metric tons. The volume of summer diesel fuel trading surged by 43.8% to 1.976 mln metric tons, winter diesel fuel sales increased by 0.6% to 1.227 mln metric tons, whereas sales of interseasonal diesel fuel fell by 8.3% to 1.022 mln metric tons.
Trading volumes for fuel oil on the exchange grew by 7.4% in the Q1, reaching 0.496 mln metric tons, while sales of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) increased by 2% to 0.638 mln metric tons. Meanwhile, aviation kerosene sales declined by 7.1% to 0.358 mln metric tons.
In monetary terms, the turnover of oil product trading for the reporting period rose by 9.7% to 488.484 bln rubles ($5.76 bln).
