Friendly countries account for 84% of Russian petroleum product exports

Concerning oil exports, the share of friendly nations stood at 86%

MOSCOW, February 20. /TASS/. Friendly countries accounted for about 84% of Russian petroleum products exports in 2023, according to the presentation to the report by Deputy Prime Alexander Novak said during the plenary session at the Russia Expo international forum.

The share of friendly nations was 30% in 2021.

Concerning oil exports, the share of friendly and unfriendly nations stood at 86% and 14% respectively.

The Russian oil pipeline operator Transneft reported earlier that export transportation of petroleum products surged by 12.5% in 2023. While westward exports over product pipelines almost halted, exports grew to member-nations of the Eurasian Economic Union - to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, the company said. The figure surged to 530,000 metric tons or up 29.3% year on year in 2023.
