Russia plans to produce more than 1,000 aircraft by 2030 — Putin

The head of state added that the Russian industry plans to produce MC-21 passenger jets and make a change to Russian engines for certain aircraft

MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. Russia plans to produce more than a thousand airplanes by 2030, President Vladimir Putin said at the combined Direct Line Q&A session and year-end press conference.

"We need to develop our own aircraft production. I hope all plans, and we plan to make more than 1,000 our own airplanes by 2030 [....] will be implemented; specialists, pilots, and passengers will have on what to fly," Putin said.

The Russian industry plans to produce MC-21 passenger jets and make a change to Russian engines for certain aircraft, he added.
