Turkey expects more Russian tourists this year — Foreign Minister

Turkish authorities said earlier that they expect about 6 mln tourists from Russia to visit the country by the end of 2023

ANKARA, April 7. /TASS/. Turkey expects even more Russian tourists to visit the country this year, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said at a press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"Last year, 5.2 million Russian tourists visited Turkey. Tourism remains a very important part of our cooperation. Of course, this year we expect more Russians to come to our country," Cavusoglu said.

Turkish authorities said earlier that they expect about 6 mln tourists from Russia to visit the country by the end of 2023.
