MOSCOW, October 13. /TASS/. Russia is in contact with the leadership of many African countries after Moscow's participation in the grain deal was suspended, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov told reporters on Monday.
"Of course, we remain in contact with the leadership of many countries, particularly those in Africa that require assistance with the provision of food and fertilizer supplies," he said.
Bogdanov also added that Russia will continue supporting African countries after the deal suspension. "Of course, [Russia will continue its support]," he said.
On Saturday, Russia officially notified the United Nations Secretary General about the decision to suspend its participation in the Ukraine grain deal following Ukraine’s attack on Russian Black Sea Fleet ships engaged in ensuring security of the grain corridor.
