MOSCOW, September 25. /TASS/. FPV interceptor drone operators of Russia’s Battlegroup West are downing Ukrainian drones launched from the eastern shore of the Krasny Oskol reservoir (Kharkov Region), the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
"Fighters of the FPV interceptor drone platoon of the Battlegroup West’s 236th Guards Artillery Brigade, 20th Combined Arms Army, continue their daily operations to guard the air over the eastern shore of the Krasny Oskol reservoir. The crews’ main task is to prevent the enemy from launching its strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and thwart their sorties even before they approach our positions," the ministry said in a statement.
The interceptors are on constant standby. The operators are destroying Ukrainian UAVs by ramming or blasting them in the air, operating over their units’ positions.
"The enemy frequently uses mining tactics from the Krasny Oskol reservoir’s eastern shore, often launching combat UAVs from that area. Our task is to prevent enemy sorties and suppress hostile drones on the approaches to our positions, a drone operator with the call sign Mot said.
