WASHINGTON, December 18. /TASS/. U.S. President Barack Obama has signed a bill giving him extra powers to introduce sanctions against Russia and to pump armaments into Ukraine.

A statement in the name of the President released on the occasion says the signing of the bill does not mean a change in the policy of sanctions, which Washington is coordinating closely with its allies and partners.
