BEIRUT, November 5. /TASS/. Hezbollah has denied claims by the Yemeni government that its instructors are allegedly participating in military operations on the side of the Ansar Allah movement (the Houthis).
"The Yemeni authorities’ statements regarding the support for the Houthi offensive, as well as their military training and rearmament, are completely baseless," Hezbollah said in press statement posted on its Telegram channel on Wednesday. "The Yemeni people have sufficient capabilities, resources, and experience to defend their country without external support."
Hezbollah denied that its military specialists are in Yemen and called for "building an internal dialogue between the warring parties in order to preserve Yemen's unity and resolve their differences."
Earlier, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam warned Hezbollah against interfering into domestic affairs of Arab countries, including Yemen as this may harm their national interests.
On November 3, Yemeni Interior Minister Ibrahim Ali Haidan accused Hezbollah and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, elite units of the Iranian army) of sending their military instructors to command Houthi combat operations, develop missile and drone programs, and coordinate attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
