‘Surrender’ absent from Iranian people’s vocabulary — chief of staff

Habibollah Sayyari stressed that the Islamic Republic considers itself victorious on the battlefield and will never bow to its enemies

TEHRAN, October 29. /TASS/. Iran will never bow to its enemies, Habibollah Sayyari, Chief of Staff and Deputy Commander of the Iranian Army, has stated.

"Fighting the world’s greatest military power is a great challenge. Yet our people stood firm and fought because the word ‘surrender’ does not exist in our vocabulary," the Tasnim news agency quoted him as saying.

According to Sayyari, the adversary was defeated in all three wars and failed to achieve its objectives, as Iran did not allow it to prevail. He stressed that the Islamic Republic considers itself victorious on the battlefield and will never bow to its enemies.
