Kyrgyz president congratulates Putin on successful holding of Duma elections

The Kyrgyz leader noted that inter-parliamentary ties were "an important component of the Kyrgyz-Russian relations of strategic partnership and alliance"

BISHKEK, September 21. /TASS/. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has congratulated his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on the successful holding of the State Duma elections, the press office of the Kyrgyz leader said.

"I am convinced that the new State Duma will make a significant contribution to the implementation of the ambitious tasks facing the Russian Federation and further progressive development of the country under your leadership," Japarov said in a congratulatory message.

He said that the republic attaches special importance to close cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries. He noted that inter-parliamentary ties are "an important component of the Kyrgyz-Russian relations of strategic partnership and alliance." Japarov added that he expects the parliamentarians of Kyrgyzstan and Russia to continue their active joint work to further expand multifaceted cooperation and strengthen the traditionally friendly ties between the two peoples.

"I take this opportunity to wish you good health, prosperity and new successes in your government activities, and peace, stability and prosperity to the people of the Russian Federation," Japarov said.
