MOSCOW, October 29. /TASS/. African nations already enjoy certain advantages in trade with Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), being entirely exempt from customs duties, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted during the Russia-Africa summit.
"The alignment of integration frameworks creates additional opportunities for increasing reciprocal flows of goods and capital," he said. "I am referring, first and foremost, to the Eurasian Economic Union, of which Russia is a member, and the African Continental Free Trade Area."
"The EAEU’s unified system of tariff preferences offers African exporters significant benefits when importing goods into the Eurasian market. Forty-seven countries on the continent are eligible for these benefits, with 32 of them enjoying completely zeroed-out customs duties," Putin added.
