The head of state added that Russia is promoting the creation of a new investment platform within BRICS, which will also target fast-growing markets

MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. Africa is the continent of the future, with a young population that yearns for a good education and a higher standard of living, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"We see Africa as the continent of the future, with a very young population striving for education and a higher standard of living. This will inevitably bring about systemic changes across the continent," he said at the summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).

Putin also noted that Russia is promoting the creation of a new investment platform within BRICS, which will also target fast-growing markets. "In this regard, Africa should be among the top priorities," he added.
