Putin to chair National Projects Council’s meeting

The main report will be delivered by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin

MOSCOW, December 5. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and National Projects.

The meeting will focus on the country’s development goals for 2025-2030. Participants will discuss new national projects already drafted by the government, which are to come into force on January 1, 2025.

"It is planned that the government’s readiness to implement the president’s decree on Russian national development goals for the next five years will be assessed, and practical tasks for 2025 will be outlined," the Kremlin press service said.

The main report will be delivered by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The previous meeting of the council took place in May 2024.

National development goals

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree that sets national development goals for 2030 and for a longer run on May 7, 2024 - the first day of his new presidential term.

The document outlines seven major areas: population preservation and family support; education of a patriotic and socially responsible person; comfortable and safe living environment; environmental well-being; sustainable and vibrant economy; technological leadership; and, finally, digital transformation of government administration, economy and social area,.
