Tourist traffic from Russia can reinforce African economy — Putin

"The Russian tourist flow has become a sizeable sector of the national economy for certain countries, even for such significantly developed country as Turkey," the Russian leader said

MOSCOW, October 28. /TASS/. The tourist flow from Russia can become a significant boost for African economies, President Vladimir Putin said.

"The Russian tourist flow has become a sizeable sector of the national economy for certain countries, even for such significantly developed country as Turkey," the Russian leader said. "Seven million Russian tourists visit Turkey annually; this provides the Turkish economy with $12 bln on account of the tourist flow from Russia," Putin noted.

"This flow should also be increased on account of African countries. Certainly, Africa is a unique continent with unique culture and nature. And we will be able to direct appropriate flows," the head of state added.
