Agricultural trade turnover in EAEU up 20% in 7M 2026 — deputy minister

The trade turnover within the union reached $18 bln

MOSCOW, October 8. /TASS/. The trade volume of agricultural products and foods within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) increased by 20% in January-July 2026, said Maxim Markovich, the Russian Deputy Minister of Agriculture.

The trade turnover of agricultural products and foods within the union grew by more than 20% in 2025, reaching approximately $18 bln.

"As for the current year, looking at the period from January to July of this year, we also observe a trade turnover growth of about 20%. It is seen that our trade is balanced," Markovich said.

Much attention is currently being paid to the development of such areas of agribusiness as breeding and seed production, increasing the productivity of the livestock sector, and boosting the production of goods with the high added value, the deputy minister said. "Fundamentally, this aligns closely with the areas having priority within the union and the potential cooperative projects that we will implement together," Markovich added.
