MOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. Nordgold plans to achieve production of 25 metric tons of gold in Yakutia in 2028, CEO of the Russian goldminer Georgy Smirnov said at the Minex Russia 2026 forum.
"We grew in Yakutia from literally two tons of gold twenty years ago to twenty tons of gold we will produce this year. We built two large plants and are going to develop further on. Two more plants in the cluster are scheduled for the start in 2028. We will accordingly grow to 25 tons probably, according to the plan, if everything goes as we want," he said.
