MOSCOW, March 7. /TASS/. The Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) will be held on September 12-15, 2023 on the campus of Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok. The plenary session is scheduled for September 14, 2023, the Roscongres Foundation said in a press release on Tuesday.
"The decision to change the dates of the Eastern Economic Forum is linked to the schedule of international events," Advisor to Russian President, Executive Secretary of the EEF Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov was quoted as saying.
The influence of the Far East on Russia’s development has grown considerably, he added. "The Eastern direction is becoming the main area for strengthening the country’s economy and increasing its export potential. The 8th Eastern Economic Forum will be held at the most representative level," Kobyakov noted.
Earlier the forum was scheduled for September 5-8.
More than 7,000 people and media representatives from 68 countries and territories, including Russia, participated in the forum this year, including about 1,700 business representatives from 700 companies. A total of 296 agreements worth 3.27 trillion rubles ($53.4 bln) were signed on the sidelines of EEF-2022.
