MOSCOW, April 18. /TASS/. Russian authorities are doing their best to create comfortable conditions for foreign investors’ work in the country, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with representatives of the French business community.
"I repeatedly said that Russia is doing and will do [everything], so that foreign investors, including you, dear colleagues, have the maximum comfortable feeling," the Russian leader said.
The macroeconomic stability in Russia has improved, Putin noted. "We are generally satisfied with our progress in this sphere," the president said.
"We are also paying attention on a going basis to removal of administrative barrier and provision of an optimal tax burden," Putin said. Russia climbed to the 31st position in the World Bank’s Doing Business Rating, the head of state noted.
Trade and economic relations between Russia and France "have a good progress," the Russian leader said. Bilateral trade turnover grew by 11% to $17 bln in 2018. Over 600 companies from France or with participation of the French capital are working in Russia, Putin added.
