Battlegroup North takes 100 sq km in Kharkov Region last week — expert

LUGANSK, September 21. /TASS/. Fighters of Russia’s Battlegroup North achieved the best results in liberating territories in the special military operation zone over the past week, taking control of about 100 square kilometers in the Kharkov Region, military expert Andrey Marochko reported.

Marochko noted that over the past week, 10 settlements came under the Russian forces’ control: five in the Kharkov Region, three in the Donetsk People’s Republic, and two in the Zaporozhye Region.

"The best results in the liberation of occupied territories over the past week were achieved by service members of the Battlegroup North, who took control of more than 100 square kilometers in the Kharkov Region," he wrote on his VKontakte page after analyzing data released by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The military expert noted that, as a result, the operational and tactical situation facing the Ukrainian army on the Kharkov front continued to deteriorate.
