KIEV, January 20. /TASS/. Ukraine is ready for a new meeting of foreign ministers from the so-called Normandy format group, comprising Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine, scheduled in Berlin on Wednesday, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said on Tuesday.
“I talked to German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier two hours ago about ways to continue this complex discussion,” Klimkin said.
“Ukraine’s priorities remain the same: implementation of the Minsk agreements, including progress in withdrawing heavy artillery and delivering relief aid to those who need it, alongside real progress toward freeing hostages and control over the Ukrainian-Russian border,” he said, noting that only under these conditions, it was possible to achieve results.
“This discussion can be continued on Wednesday,” Klimkin said, adding that if the Normandy-format meeting took place as scheduled, he would also raise the issue of holding another meeting of a contact group involving Ukrainian, Russian and international officials aimed at settling the Ukrainian crisis.
