Viktor Yanukovich calls upon opposition to begin talks

Opposition leaders confirmed meeting on Wednesday afternoon

KIEV, January 22. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich has called upon the Ukrainian opposition to sit down at a negotiating table, Yanukovich said in a statement reported on his website on Wednesday.

Leaders of the Ukrainian opposition are meeting with Yanukovich on Wednesday. Arseniy Yatsenyuk, leader of the opposition faction Batkivshina, announced that the meeting was coordinated to be held at 3:45pm, GTM+3. Other members of the opposition to be present at the meeting including leader of the opposition party UDAR Vitaly Klitchko and head of the Svoboda party Oleg Tyagnibok.
