MOSCOW, March 4. /TASS/. A Boeing P-8A Poseidon long-range radar reconnaissance aircraft from the U.S. Navy has conducted a flight over the Black Sea near the coast of Crimea, according to data from the Flightradar tracking service.
The plane took off from the Italian airbase in Sigonella, Sicily, and executed several extended overflights over the Black Sea before returning to Sicily.
Earlier, various specialized Telegram channels reported that this sortie marked the first time a Poseidon aircraft has ventured into this area; previously, they had remained within overland airspace, typically flying over Romania.
