NEW YORK, December 16. /TASS/. US President-elect Donald Trump said Vladimir Zelensky should be ready to agree to end the conflict in Ukraine.
"He should be prepared to make a deal. That's all. Too many people being killed," he said at his first news conference since the election win, which he held at the Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. "Got to make a deal."
Trump said Moscow should be the other side of the deal.
The politician also said, "I had a good relationship with Putin."
On December 7, Trump met with Zelensky for the first time after winning the election. According to Reuters, the head of the Kiev regime insisted that the West provide Ukraine with security guarantees after the end of the conflict, while the US president-elect reiterated that he wanted an immediate ceasefire and start of negotiations.
Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier named the conditions for settling the conflict, which included withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donbas and Novorossiya, an end to Kiev's aspirations to join NATO, lifting all Western sanctions against Moscow and Ukraine’s commitment to uphold a non-aligned and nuclear-free status.
